Bees vs Wasps

Perhaps it's the scorching heat of these days, but the presence of wasps and hornets this year seems to be truly extraordinary. Unfortunately, the wasp is among the most dangerous predators of the bee. I notice that even in the presence of this formidable predator, the bee doesn't get intimidated at all and takes countermeasures. In essence, the bee, along with several others from its family, positions itself at the doorstep of its home, almost forming a sort of blockade. Upon closer observation, I've noticed that the bee indeed forms a real checkpoint, stopping and repelling the wasps attempting to force their way in, while allowing access only to the foragers returning home with their valuable cargo of nectar and pollen. So, even in the face of this other natural danger, the organization of the bee stands out once again.
