Type of Honey: Wildflower. Wildflower honey delivers the flavor and color of the nectars from every flower foraged by the bees. It may present different characteristics each year depending on the weather conditions, which greatly influence the flowering at the time, the local biodiversity, and overall weather.
-
Area of Origin: Piedmont – Tortona Hills. The area boasts significant biodiversity. In the fields where all our hives are permanently located (they are never moved), many fruit trees, olive trees, and aromatic plants are cultivated, in addition to the numerous other native wild plants. Prominent among these, in terms of quantity, are: black locust (known as acacia), chestnut, hazelnut, privet (ligustrum), wild plum (blackthorn), hawthorn, oak (roverella), chicory, mint, and Dittrichia (formerly Inula). Not to mention the alfalfa fields. This allows our bees to have a continuous supply of nectar and pollen throughout the entire reproductive season.
-
Harvest Period: From June to October.
-
Organic Certification: Our beekeeping operation is attentive, in every management phase, to the biological processes defined and certified by the relevant bodies (in our case, by Suolo & Salute).
