The heat of this anomalous autumn is ending. The bees are increasingly reducing their flights to collect the nectar of the last flowering of the year (that of the viscous inula). All the operations necessary to ensure the best possible winter for the various families then begin.
Once we have recovered the straw, we fill the jute bags, then place them in the attic of the hive and therefore keep the family warm during the coldest periods.
The opening of the hive is reduced with a metal mesh whose mesh (5mm wide) will allow the passage of only the bee in the rare "purification" outings (doing the "needs") during the winter months
